Karen McCarty is WONDERFUL. I always recommend her to individuals looking for a home in the Austin area. My personal story about Karen is as follows: Four years ago, I discovered that I had to move to Austin for work. I only had one weekend to find a place to live. My budget was limited, but I wanted to buy a condo rather than rent. Karen devoted her ENTIRE weekend to me. Karen's demeanor was professional, caring, and friendly. She was intuitive about my interests, but never forced her opinions upon me. She was also very knowledgeable about the housing market and the Austin area. Because of Karen's diligence, preparation, and hard work, I was able to find a townhouse to buy in only two days. Wow! A funny sidenote: I renovated my kitchen shortly after I moved into the townhouse. For some reason, I asked Karen to keep a key for me during the renovation. Things were great until two years later when I accidentally locked myself out. As a shot in the dark, I called Karen hoping to locate a spare key. Unbelieveably, she still had it! Now that's an organized realtor! |

| Additional comments ... | We worked with Karen on relocating to Austin from Houston over a period of several months. Karen showed us various areas and various different types of homes. She communicated with us regularly and when our priorities shifted she made the shift as well. When we found the perfect home, she was with us every step of the way and negotiated problems on our behalf as if she were family. In addition, her contacts with local businesses helped us get settled into our new home seamlessly. From Karen's expertise, we benefited by getting a great deal and with her on side we have never felt alone. I highly recommend Karen for her knowledge of the industry and Austin area, professionalism, and ethical character. From a customer service perspective, Karen McCarty sets the bar. |

| Additional comments ... | With a background in commercial real estate and appraisal, I can spot a pro, and Karen is simply a top notch PRO. She understands to critical depths all the facets of a "good" real estate deal: people and their preferences, needs and capabilities, values vs. costs of rehabilitation, finances and lender issues, legal and title issues and overcoming low competence levels of other agents involved in the transaction. She knows what is needed to market a property well and how you will want to accurately present (as Seller) or evaluate (as Buyer) quirks or problems of a property. In our increasingly complicated world, whether you are selling or buying, if you want your road to a "good" real estate transaction paved and without pot holes, Karen is the PRO you want -- because of her wealth of knowledge and experience and because of her big heart. No matter on which side of a real estate transaction Karen represents you (Buying or Selling), rest assured she will be 100% on your side. No reservations -- she is a five star agent. |

| Additional comments ... | Karen was an awesome help throughout our buying (and selling) experience. We appreciated her quick wit and sense of humor as well as her expertise and professionalism. She gave us advice that worked very well for us and she is a start communicator. Many friends have told horror stories of realtors who do not return calls, but with Karen, we received constant communication and extremely prompt responses to everything. We were not buying a top dollar home but she treated us as if we were, always making our needs and concerns of utmost importance to her. I would unqualifyingly recommend Karen to buyers and sellers alike! |

She was available whenever we needed her and was extremely easy to work with. Just this year she gave me direction in finding a decorator and pointing me to model homes that were decorated in the style I was wanting in order to get ideas! I would strongly recommend her, and if I start looking for a new home she will be the first and only call I make! |
